1974 Honda CB 550e - $1200

Hey there. What you've actually got is a 1974 CB550K. You're probably reading the CB550E designation off of the engine case? All CB550 engine numbers start with CB550E but the actual model designation can be read off of the headstock, either stamped into the right hand side of the headstock or on the metal tag on the right hand side of the headstock. You indeed have a 1974, and in '74 the only CB550 available was the K model. The CB550F started in 1975. Your bike would have started life with a 4 into 2 exhaust but it now has an aftermarket 4 into 1 exhaust. For more info on the subject, check out this link:
