1982 Yamaha XS400

I moved into my shared house just over 3 years ago. A roommate that lived there prior to me moving in had an XS400 (82?)...that he abandoned in there. It's a bit of a rat and it's been down a couple of times. It's really dirty and has been sitting there with a full tank of rancid gas for the last 5 years. I have the key, but there are some electrical problems that I still have to work out.

Today I cleaned out my garage workspace and began to work on it. So far I've taken off the tank, seat, air boxes, carbs and pulled of the pipes. I have the next 4 days off work so I'll be putting in a few hours on this bike.

That is very cool... but I would be concerned about ownership, prior to investing alot of cash in a bike that is not registered in my name. In order to transfer title, you require a bill of sale signed by the last registered owner. I would take care of those minor details first. Great project bike, and awesome deal... you lucked out!
