Should also mention, that was the least time and best result I have ever gotten on a lower leg. I used an ultra fine wire wheel from brownells at 3000rpm, then some good compound and a wheel also at 3000rpm. Total time, 45mins.

So both legs are done, will do a final inspection in the sun tomorrow and give them a once over. The plan is my top triple should be here tomorrow, I will assemble the front end with bars and controls to get a feel for what it'll look like. Before that happens I will have to cut the lock off the bottom of the triple, clean it up a little, then fab up a bracket so I can use a bottom mount headlight. I really like the way Kott does it, thinking to steal his design.

Well got the front end refinished- little tweaking to do but back in a roller. Definitely like how it shaped up up, especially Cognito's top triple!

So about halfway done with the front fender, or may be more accurate to call it a brace. No sure of the shape just yet, but a grinder is a beautiful thing. And yes i will be shaping the other side.

Count me in for this one. Trying to cut a little weight from my build too. Interested in seeing where you go with this.

So i just thought about the bar length. Threw the tank on to check it out. Measures 28 inches end to end, and im going to add a bar end mirror yet. Im thinking cut an inch off each side and if its still too wide ill take off one more

Got an order of parts today, will take photos tomorrow. One of the parts is the new headlight. I definitely wanted a beefy look, this may be ridiculous haha. 7 inch glass and 8 inch outside diameter, so it's wider than the forks. I have a feeling I may be sending it back. Pics tomorrow.

Headlight success!!! I love that i was able to do it with no brackets! So much cleaner.

Pulled a dumb move today. I had picked up a cb350 hub off of fleabay, and spend a few hours making it all purdy, stripping off a bunch of black paint then polishing it up. I then went to lace it up. Oh hey, awesome, doesn't work with 350 hub spokes, and low and behold it's a 175 hub not 350. Smh. Well I ordered another hub, so I guess finishing the front end will have to wait.

Where did you get that head light?

What size is it?

It's a nice quality light for the money. Think its drag specialties.

Cool, thanks.

So I will have a lot to post up next week. Head is ported, valves all clean, barrels bored, wheels laced, getting tires tomorrow. I should had the motor back together and wheels good to go next week. Still a long way to go.

Big day today, going to pick up the wheels with new rubber, bored barrels, and should have the engine all back together. Took a little longer than expected to get everything back but par for the course I suppose. Once all that is crossed off the list, next will be the electronics tray and seat.

Snapped a fuckin ring! That's what I get for being 4 glasses of Rye in while putting them on.

I did that with no alcohol at all in me on my RD so don't feel to bad.
