If it feels good....do it....
Picked up this little number for a project. Found the short in the wiring and she fired right up.

Cleaned behind the left engine cover and removed the batter box. Also sizing up this seat but I may use a different one.

Ordered some parts: black race style clutch lever, thruxton cafe seat, new throttle sleeve, new points covers, chrome bar top cover, Spray max 2k paint, new fuel line, and few other things here and there.....

Im posting all my entries now because I have just decided to do this build thread. So timing is off but steps I have taken are in order.

Took off my swing arm and wheel so I could get the back of the engine clean. Dropped the swing arm off for powder.

Anyone have any suggestions for mounting a seat? I have a few ideas but just looking for feedback.

You've been busy! What kind of seat are you looking to mount?

Some take a seat pan and utilize the stock hinged mounting points. Are you relocating electrical bits etc. to under a seat bump?

My build thread is really, really long but there are some good bits in there on when I mounted my seat - on about page 40.

Topic #448 :) Yours is topic #34459 - we've come a long way!

Are Y'going to fit a cafe hump or a brat style loop and a thin gel seat?Heres two ideas.I must get back into the habit of drawing up a bike every day again,Y'get pretty rusty!
Im going with the cafe look and I will have the battery under the bump of the seat.

You don't waste any time, do you. ;) If you don't mind me asking, what size are your gauges?
You are right I do not waste any time. Not sure on the gauges but I am definitely taking them off.

Made these mounts for my cafe seat but i really dont like them so I am going to change them a little bit. Planning to use an xs500 tank and that way the seat will not look so out of place.
