** PICS OF MEMBERS RIDES ** - Official Before & After Thread

I rode that dinky little bike around the block at Rich's place. Damn near small enough to put in my pocket!

True story - and for those that dont know, Swagger is a big dude.

Everybody asked me if i got a pic of him on it, and i tell them all the same thing: "When a guy that big tells you not to take a picture, you dont take a picture"

Damn do I love that bike Rich. Ill tell ya folks, I rode that bastard from Beaver to Pittsburgh and around the city in between recently (around 80 miles that day) and Im a believer. It is one well built s.o.b. Rich did it right. Theres nothing like screamin through traffic at 60mph in the pouring rain on a 250lb bike with bicycle tires. ha ha ha

You said you would baby it and not take it above 45! :D

Ok, so who else has before & afters?

Ehhh...still got a few more things to finish up (brakes, seat, electrical, etc), but I thought I'd share nonetheless:

That CX is coming out insame! got rid of the sporty mufflers for some emgos huh... how does it sound? did you have to rejet for them?
ooh ya! do you by chance still have the bags? i am looking to try and make some hard bags work on my bandit 600s

Second on the wanting to hear the CX! Did you keep the stock crossover? I can't open the pic now for some reason to see for myself.....
Also, is the tank just bare or is it painted/powdered? Very cool looking bike mate!

Thanks!! haven't had a chance to fire it up with that exhaust setup yet. but i did rejet to 120/90.

Don't have the bags anymore. Put em on craigslist and they sold right away...wasn't expecting them to be that popular! haha

Ditched the crossover (the battery box is actually taking that location now). The exhaust is a 2-1 setup with an emgo shorty muffler welded on...i can't wait to fire it up (I'll be sure to take video).
The tank is just bare metal right now. I want to take it to 3000 grit and clear it (POR15 makes this stuff that is supposed to help the clear stick to the metal...crossing fingers).

Very nice transformation on the CX GoBears, I wonder what the weight difference is in the before and after, I say a few pounds were shed. ;D

Oh man, that CX is dead on perfect, I can't wait to see the seat all done!

I love it when they look a bit meaner and modern than a straight cafe build, and that one has got that look.

Also got the KZ a bit more finished off - From:

Still deciding between the two seats above. The first is just a flat pan and will need some shaping and a fender or back to it and then slim foam.

The second is the stock seat trimmed down to a solo. Also not done yet, needs to be cut down in height and attached to the pan again, lower than it is sitting there.

Thanks Jay,
Took about a year to complete. Had a lot of help from a friend of mine who is a master BMW Mechanic.
He's taught me alot and I've learned a great deal from the Master.
I'm going to start another BMW Cafe Bike for my son very soon, Its going to based on an R60 model (600cc), it will be his first bike so there's no need for it to be as quick as this one. He can always slap on some bigger jugs later on when he gets more confident.
