Prolly just gonna build links to weld to the back of the frame and conect em to the shock mounts.

I would like suggestions on seat and tank. and where to obtain such gems. I am not gonna spend a ton of money on it, mainly due to the incredible lack of funding.

Anyways, comments and suggestions are welcome!!

I always loved the look of the cx500's engine. You should try to find one of the original turbos for this thing. Ill be watching this build

Honestly, I have no interest in goin fast. I'm not the most experienced rider, and all I need is another reason to go fast... I fat and uncoordinated.. just wanted to build a fun toy.

the truck in the back is a 1939 Chevy, Chopped 5 inches, sittin on a 1984 Toyota frame. S10 rear end, and a 1941 plymouth truck L6 flatty.

the Grill is Ford 8N, and hopefully the thing will be a runner driver by next summer.

and where's a good place to buy stuff for the CX. I need a master cyl, and possibly a caliper. I did see somewhere that someone converted to a CRB900 front brake system.

anyone please chime in.

really any master will work, i would sugest looking at some sport bike masters bud... that is what i am using on the G wing...

Good photo's and a low budget cx500 bobber: I'm in!

We used a Ural (but they'll be hard to find there I guess) seat and a mustang tank. Looked really good in my opinion.

Awesome Thanks!

I'll post up some of my photography one of these days.

Then you can see how deep the rabbit hole really is.

After a long ass day yesterday, finally got the back welded up.

Hope to have the seat mounted, and rear fender bolted up as well!

THen strip and fill the tank. gonna paint it Gunmetal. along with the wheels, rocker covers, carb tops, and bowls.

Been a little while. Here's how it's sittin as of right now. sorry two pics a little different, but you get the point.

intrigued by how u did the rear frame. look very unique. look awesome! thanks for sharing

I've seen goldwing front ends on cx's before too, the early ones with spokes and dual discs, I'm sure you could do the same with comstars. I'm going to be parting 2 cx's in the near future and have a bunch of random engine shit and extra wheels laying around.

Bikes looking good!!!

Thank you, the only thing I'll be interested in is gonna be the CDI boxes, and possibly Voltage Regulator.. If the prices are right. If you were close enough, a few bigger random parts maybe, but too far to ship a frame, and swinger..

hey man,

nice bob job there. like the stance and the openess of the rear. seat looks great in there. the bike has a good flow to it. not alot of the cx's out there, let alone being bobed.
one thing i would do, would be to gusset the rear ridged tube you welded on there, to the main frame.
there is alot of tension back there, espiecaily at a hwy speeds. dont want to heir of any accidents.
other than that looks good. just my two cents.
good work.
later.

This is awesome. I'm trying to get a friend of mine to pick a CX500 right now. Looks like a fun bike.
