Rebuilt carbs now they piss fuel

So my uncle "rebuilt" my carbs last year (left them filthy and clogged but cleaned the float bowls). So I took them apart and cleaned and polished them but now they pee gas out of all four overflows. I lightly polished the float valve seats, I'm concerned that's the problem. I didn't replace the float valves but my uncle did that a year ago so I don't see how that would be the problem.

I'm just concerned that the polishing of the float valve seat just killed my carb.

Sounds like polishing the float valve seats may have been too much.

Since they are leaking anyway, try leaving the float bowl off and push the float needle up with your finger. Have something to catch the gas from the other 3 carbs of course, and turn the petcock on. If you don't get gas pouring down your finger, that eliminates a possibility.

80 cb750f, sorry . When I pressed the float up to seal it, there was a very small bit of gas that got though then it sealed. When I took the float off and pressed the needle up in there it sealed completely.

Also, the overflow tubes have no cracks in them.
