My first build.
Lapped the valves, polished the gasket surfaces, steam cleaned the entire engine, honed the cylinders, replaced the piston rings and cleaned the pistons. All that is left is to put her back together, then I get to paint her

"polished" gasket surfaces? I hope that doesn't mean what it sounds like? The surfaces have to be dead flat. That's all that matters.

Honed the barrels is fine but did you measure ring gaps and piston to bore clearances? If they are out of spec, it will need a rebore and new pistons & rings. If it's in spec you may get away with it.

Haha not what it sounds like. I just couldn't remember the correct word.
I measured the ring gaps and everything else the workshop manual says to do. Except put a micrometer in the cylinders, need to do that still. But all in all she looks ready.
