Would a 1.85x18 rim look weird front and rear?

If you have 1/4" nipples in 1/4" hole it will be almost impossible to build and true wheel
Holes are probably closer to 5/16" which is fine

They are bigger than .25, but he said that they are drilled for .25 nipples.

cool good to know, what did your stock nipples end up being? did they fit right in?

Don't remember diameter, they fitted fine without washers in XS rims, you only need washers with late model MX rims

I sent an email to mikesxs about this, but haven't heard from them. Do you know which rim you bought?

Seems like there are two versions of what looks like the same rim.

If you look at the 2.15x18 rim for $90:
"H 2.15x18 36 spoke shouldered aluminum motorcycle rim Black"
http://www.mikesxs.net/product/34-3182.html

and another 2.15x18 rim for $79:
"H 2.15x18 36 spoke shouldered aluminum motorcycle rim for Yamaha XS650 front. Black"
http://www.mikesxs.net/product/34-1904.html

The difference between them seems like one is for front and the other is for rear.

I am just double checking to see if you bought both front and rear.

Spoke angles should be different
Getting a 'dedicated' front should be easier to build but I've used rears on front without any problems
