Been Around the Block
I have a question that I hope isn't too ridiculous. I'm preparing to start on a Harley Sprint project. Yep, 250 ccs of Italian/American tuff (I will start a build thread). The bike has a stock 6v system. I have a brand new 6v headlight for it, and will pick up a new battery this weekend. My question is this: Will a LED tail light work with a 6v system. I don't know why it wouldn't, but when it comes to volts, watts, ohms, and such, I am completely lost. Can anyone help?

It will probably be dim if it works at all. If it's an LED light designed for 12V, they probably put a resistor in there to drop the voltage and current, or a bunch of LEDs in "series" to add up to 12V. An LED needs a certain minimum voltage to light up, if you're giving the light half of the design voltage, I don't think you'll get there.
