CJ250t / CB360 / CJ360t / CB350 Clutch Adjustment Screw Lock Nut - Thread Pitch?

Ladies and Gents,

After a spot of help, I need to get hold of a new lock nut for my clutch adjustment screw....cannot find one anywhere though!

The part in question is this one: https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cj360t-1976-usa_model1035/nut-rocker-arm_90011286000/#.WyJGnFVKi70

Its probably an 8mm nut, but I have a feeling its a strange thread...just looking at the name of it on CMSNL makes me think it might be similar to a tappet lock nut.

Can anyone have a look at the one of their bike and let me know if its got a strange thread, maybe size it or even check if it matches the tappet lock nut?

I would be eternally grateful and it would go someway to me finishing my long overdue project! (Note to self, dont lose nuts and leave pain in the arse jobs till last!)

Thanks,

Ben

Just so its out there on the tinterweb for future reference, it is an M8 1.25 "Metric Fine" nut. Finally tracked one down at my local engineers hardware store! £1.00 exactly!

Thanks to PJ for the direction, great help!

M8 is 'standard' pitch at 1.25mm, should have been available 'everywhere (B&Q, etc)The ones I remember as 'standard pitch are 5x0.8mm (fine 0.7mm)6x12mm (fine 0.75mm)8x1.25mm (fine 1.00mm)10x1.5mm (fine, 1.25mm)Japanese motorcycles from around 1968 on used ISO metric fine on larger sizes, 10mm and above although there are a few odd sizes (like vacuum adapters on CB/CJ 250/360) and carb jets
