Last year I upgraded the clutch springs in my R5 and replaced the 50 year old mechanical cable. The new cable ended up snapping at the end of the year. I was going to replace it again, but my confidence is shaken and figured it might be a good time to convert to a magura style hydraulic clutch instead.
Since my cable is pooched, which I've tossed already, I'm hoping someone can help verify some dimensions for me so I can size something up. I called a rep and they need some dimensions validated which I can't provide without a working cable.
What I need:
What's the overall cable stroke from fully engaged to fully disengaged (ignoring any free play) at the lever)?
And, what's the length of the cable from the clutch actuator (in the normally engaged position) to the bottom of the cable housing bracket (where the cable housing sits)?
