Texas Two Step Taco

Back to our electrical issue... so I checked the timing for grins and it was at 4mm BTDC! It changes when I torque it down!

Very frustrating to have to torque everything down to change the timing. Set the timing to what the Bandido had which was 3mm bTdc vs 3.5mm for the Montadero. If it still detonates I will pull more advance out for the Pursang was 2.7mm btdc

Ref Magee. That's interesting. I know not of whom he speaks.

There are a few really experienced and talented two stroke guys around and they don't advertise or spend a lot of time on forums.

Yes...very interesting. This bike is female. BB said all two strokes are...Wants to be warmed up before WOT. Air shifter works great. Total blast! Wheelie bars up next!

I think that he has something there. All bikes are female and need to be treated with lots of TLC. I find with mine that if I ignore them, they just act up when I want something from them. - The bikes are the same....

I did a quick google search and found a Pastor in Nanjing at the time of the massacre and a guy running kennels. Not either of those. Did finally locate a Dr John Magee reference in Blair's seminal book on two strokes on which all thd available software is based, so that would be the man.

There's a copy of teh book at http://dragonfly75.com/motorbike/2StrokeDesign.pdf not sure if that is totally kosher, but there it is.

There is not a lot of wheelie bar construction tutorials for a motorcycle on the web. Making these wheelie bars 64” from the axel. Lower bar mounting mounting to the swing arm. Using 5/8 .035 for the bottom and 3/4 .035 chromoly for the top.

all the ends will be sleeved over the other bars. 7/8” .058 for the 3/4 and 3/4 .058 for the 5/8. Will also sleeve cross members and rosette weld them together.

Making adjustable tabs for the wheelie bars. These will be left hand female rod ends since it is a push from the bars.

Is that a BB suggestion? How high is the front wheel off the ground with that setting? I was thinking more like 2 inches or less at the back to get an inch or so at the front. The less rotation the better.

No that was Bryan Hobbs suggestion to run it on the dirt on the middle setting. BB bars look like what you suggest. We will drop to the lower setting for the track
