Hello Ladies and Gents. I've been lurking here for a while, but am now sharing my build project. I'm chronicling it on my YouTube channel - Urban Monk TV. Link to the first episode of this GS550 build here

3 Episodes so far. I'm committed to seeing this thing all the way through, including the videos. Hope you enjoy.
After completing a restoration on a 1981 CB900C, I bought this bike a year and a half ago in Minnesota (where I was living at the time) I rode it for a while. Life brought me to the Los Angeles and I brought the bike with me. I rode it on the Distringuished Gentleman's Ride here

and the Venice Vintage Motorcycle Club's Annual Ride
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQUTDAjlJMk&t=195s
but eventually lost compression in one cylinder. So, it's time for a rebuild.
And while I'm at it, I'm going to cafe it. (That's a verb here right?).
I'll upload some pics here once I figure out how to do that, but my focus will be on the videos.
I welcome any ideas and support from you knowledgeable folk. I'm a decent garage mechanic, but there's always new territory to be covered with every project and this one is no exception.
