And now for something completely different:

I think Bimota had a bike with that kind of front end.
Very cool!
The pic of the guy at the end is gold ;D

Bimota did in fact do one.

Also, the Vyrus uses the same center hub steering concept:

They say that once you get used to the sensitivity, there is no more responsive steering available.

I put just about 300 miles on the Tesi and I owned the GTS1000 for a year or so.
I don't care what Ohlins wants you to believe........as goo as the modern cartridge USD forks are, they are old news. Imagine a bike that doesn't dive when you're on the binders. This type of suspension can be dialed in for that if it's what you want. Hit a compression ripple whilst healed over at 45* scraping a knee? You'll likely get tossed on a forked bike....shit your pants if you're luckier than most. Swingarm up front......a better chance of making it. Nearly no wheel base, rake or trail change under action compared to old school boingers.

....gimme......

We still have forks on bikes because people are loathe to let go of their preconceptions. It's visceral and emotional......and it SHOULD be a logical decision.

My only gripe about the GTS was that it was HEAVY and Yamaha made the front swinger too chubby and it could be ground out in a really fast corner. They tried (I think) to make a sport tourer out of it. Shoulda stepped up......

How about the new tech ina vintage look:

Taken from Kneeslider this morning.

Swagger, I see your point and it sounds great, but I guess I am one of those old school romantics that loves the shape of a motorcycle, and the shape of a motorcycle has a swinarm in the back and forks up front! Not that I can't appreciate technology, just does not have the same appeal as a "normal" set-up! I would love to ride, maybe even own one, but I still love the look of a traditional setup and always will!

Twisted: I shoulda added, on a modern high performance bike I think this is the way to go.
However, as with you....if it's a classically styled bike then I agreed. I was thinking more for on the bleeding edge types....
