Should my oil light cone on before the bike is running? I don't know if it works because I've never seen it come on. Neutral light doesn't work either

Same with the oil light here! For Neutral light just check the connection left of the front sprocket!

I just checked the connection, cleaned it, and put dielectric grease on the contact points. Still nothing...

Came home from college for the first time over the weekend and got to see my bike for the first time in 2 months

So I've been riding my bike and noticed the studs on the rear hub started rubbing on the swingarm and there is a separation between the hub and the crown that holds the sprocket on. Any ideas what this could be caused by and how I can fix it?

I recently pulled my clutch because plates were sticking. Helps to have a proper lift now that I work In a scooter shop just off campus. Don't mind the messy space. We don't have much space to work with for the amount of repairs we do.

that is a great working space you all have
yeah they got rusty water is a real enemy to clutch frictions as many are bonded with a water soluable glue
if you have access to a bead blaster or fine grit but fresh beads work best for the steels it will give them ther perfect oil retention surface and gently scuff-in the frictions
the fiber plates can be an issue a perfect flat surface and some 120 grit wetdry can clean them up as long as they arent below spec thickness when done
the frictions should be almost soft enough to make a mark with a finger nail, if hard as stone its best to get new ones and oem is best in my opinion

that sprocket holder shouldn't be able to come loose on a 500/550.
There should be a large screw in 'washer" like ring to hold it in place.

I definitely have the bearing retainer in but I'm wondering if its slowly backing itself out and pushing out the whole assembly out with it. I used blue locktite but it may have broken that.

Thanks man, I was originally worried but it turned out great.

What spacer does your bike have between that bearing retainer and the chain adjuster? That should stop the sprocket carrier from floating unless it is the wrong part or the outer bearing is breaking up. The wheel needs to come out immediately to see what's up. I had a bike recently where the spacers were incorrect and the spacer between the sprocket carrier and wheel was missing. The bearing had started to collapse and failure was imminent.
