Hi my name is Carlos Dourado motobike fan and proud owner of a Ducati 1198 always had bikes but never something I had my personal touch so I Finally decided to start my own project after countless hours of research I discovered what I wanted to build .
went for a V - twin engine and something"easy" to start with . Virago 750 .
found nice bike on ebay and brought it .
Unfortunately it wasn't what I wanted :) was looking for a mono shock model from 81 to 83 ( now i know this )and bought a double shock .

Well not all is bad , got the bike and decided I would build 2 so I bought now a mono shock also .
First bike is already almost all disassembled , all electrics identified so now just need to drop the engine and remove the wheels so I can start working on the frame .

Finally decided on the design of the Dual shock virago took the inspiration from Greg hageman bike will of course put my touch into it as I am not a big fan of the frame where the seat is mounted

Have fun with your build. I'm doing a similar build on an 81 monoshock right now (also my first ever build). Be sure to take 5 times as many pictures as you think you need during the teardown process, I took a ton and now I wish I had more. Here's the link to mine.

Second bike bought and picked up let's see how big the challenge of building 2 bikes at the same time will be

I think dual shock looks better on a vintage bike, looks like you're headed in a good direction.
