Velocity stack covers

Been Around the Block
I've been looking for some red, stringed, velocity stack 'balls' that were placed into the stacks of the old slingshot dragsters. I know they can be made, using racquet balls for example, but looking for an 'original' set.
Any ideas where to look?

Thanks for any leads!

I couldn't find any. What I did find were these Weber IDA covers on a few sites. https://www.appletreeauto.com/IDA-PRO-VELOCITY-STACK-COVERS-43-5722-0/

What we use are https://www.supplyhouse.com/Fernco-QC-101-1-1-2-Quik-Cap?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-Yrc3Ki92AIVzEwNCh1RLQDyEAQYCSABEgLhKfD_BwE

and if I can't find a set that fit, I use bath plugs on a chain just for the functionality and the fact that it leaves people wandering WTF..

It would be nice to mold some out of a fairly resilient "rubber" - probably polyurethane like the old Keihin CR inlet covers. Is it possible to take a round slug of thin polyurethane sheet and heat and shape it around a stack and let it cool and then trim it up?

Maybe some carbon fiber ones with a thin grommet around the edge of the trumpet to grab the C/F?
