1981 Kawasaki kz 440 ltd cafe racer build

slkshuz1981

Here's my quote. "QUOTE"
I just bought this bike two days ago. I originally thought i was in over my head. Ive found that this bike so far is ver simplistic. The bike was purchased for 300 bucks it had 20 thousand miles on it. Good compression good spark. Carb was rebuilt but does not run. the bike cranks and turns over. Well here goes nothing. I grew up with cafe's all my life now its my first build.

Making sure the wiring is well labeled. I hate wiring by the way.

Ya i actually stole the idea off a guy from a kawasaki forum. Its turning out better than i thought so far. I hope it wont look to goofy when i put the cafe sseat on.

New front brake master cylinder and clutch lever on the clip on's which were lowered two inches. Now to get new cables. Also created a under the seat pan for the electrical wiring.

Nice looking build.

BTW, you should get one of the mods to move this thread for you, should probably be over in the Cafe Racer section.

This is a nice looking build. It is great seeing new people on the scene coming in with knowledge and experience. I look forward to seeing where this one goes.

Got a bunch of new parts from the dime city guys give me about a week and ill post more pictures. This thing will be ready to go for vintage days at barber motor speedway this year.
