  • Hmm, maybe not thoroughly after all.  Squeaked out for a few hours.  Discovered I've lost a tiny 3mm pin that secures the offset gear to the primary shaft so engine rebuild delayed until the part arrives at Honda

  • i wouldnt have minded doing the same, but its my first full week of teaching this school year, so that may be a bit frowned upon lol

  • Im not generally enjoying my recent commute change going from 8 miles round trip to 40 miles round trip, besides days that i can ride the motorcycle. My days are so much better when i get to ride to and from work

  • I like it. I love when people get all upset about something being unsafe. "mufugga it's a chopper that's 2" off the ground with a suicide shift and you're complaining about the brake cable routing?"
  • Aug 08, 2019, 11:41:13
  • Hurco550:
  • "If you want safety and sanity don't mess around with choppers to begin with and don't come crying to me for recommending something that broke down the line. You're going to be the "builder" so use your own judgment and build to you own personal levels of safety and sanity."

  • I just use a house oven, cost me $25 on craigslist. Fits just about any motorcycle part minus a frame
  • Aug 06, 2019, 18:08:54
  • Rider52:
  • I use a toaster oven, so only small parts. The cheapest large oven I've seen was built by a girl in Florida. She took two enclosed metal cabinets which I am sure were government surplus. They bolted together and she removed the back, sealed the seams and bolted the cabinets together. She used took apart an electric oven and used the controls and heating elements. She insulated it and sealed all the other seams. It had doors on both ends, so a frame could be coated rolled into the oven and then when it cured she rolled it out the other side.

  • I don't build enough things to justify my own powder setup. Plus, that would mean I would have to start building much cleaner things.
