It's been a long time since I've seen her, but I think this is Kathleen Colburn (sp?) from Canada. She used to race with us.
Her and another girl from Canada, can't remember her name, IIRC raced in the Suzuka Endurance race with a 3rd lady.
There's also a very funny story about her in practice for the Superbike race at Loudon, NH.

Indeed, that is Kathleen.  Photo was probably taken in 1985, when she was riding a RZ500 Yamaha V4.
She raced with Toni Sharpless in Japan - I think it was a Yamaha factory ride but after all these years, I just can't remember.  They got more press time over there than the next 10 riders put together - women just didn't / don't do that sort of thing in Japan.
You could have seen Kathleen race at Shannonville last weekend - the Vintage Road Racing Association (VRRA) was holding the Quinte TT and she and her husband came out for the weekend.
Kathleen rides the same 1981(?) Yamaha RD350LC that she started racing on, back in the day.  Pulled it out of the barn after 30+ years of storage a couple of years ago, freshened it up, bought another one for the hubby and now they spend quality time together on the pavement.
The guy I was pitting for, was out in one of the practice heats with her; tried to run with her and check some of her lines in the corners, but she just getting further and further away.  Looked to be one of the smoothest riders out there - I think she has forgotten more about road racing than most of us will ever learn LOL.
I had the good fortune to chat with her after the racing was over on Saturday, was jawing about the "old days" on the RZ500 and mentioned I made the windscreens for her race bikes back then, as well as a few other fiddly bits.
If you get a chance to take in a VRRA round - there are 3 more this year - watch for her.

Kathleen Coburn, inducted into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2011. Both of her daughters race, too.

Thanks for the info about Kathleen, Congrats to her!

For the life of me yesterday I could not remember Toni's name.  Then last night about 1 am, I sat up in bed and said, "Toni Sharpless", and my wife just yes, and we both went back to sleep.
Funny how names will finally come back to you.

Do you know anything about Toni?
They where both very nice ladies, and where very competitive.
