Looking for a good mechanic
« on: May 22, 2012, 10:18:13 »
Hey guys.
Im new to this forum and owning a vintage bike.
I have a 1982 Yamaha Virago 920 thats been heavily customized by my good friends at Classified Moto in Richmond.
Im not a mechanic by any means, learning a little bit at a time, but would really love to find someone in the Raleigh area I can trust to work on my bike.

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
-Bob

Nice bike!

Johann should be able to take care of you. His shop is near the airport. http://www.motomotivo.com/

Bring that thing out to Piper's wednesday.
Cold as hell. Black as spades.

Welcome, Bob!

You have a mighty fine steed indeed.

What all are you looking to have done/learn?

There are quite a few of us in the area to hang/ride/BS with.

And Johann is a real stand up fellow, btw.
Cheers!

Thanks guys for the quick replies.
Moto Motivo looks like a great place to start.
I still need some carb tweaking done. Front cylinder is lean, rear is rich and Iím losing quit a bit of oil. No visible leaks and no blue smoke.
Itís a mystery to me.
