Having a pretty bad day today, yesterday wasn't a whole lot better (Windoze update 'killed' wifes computer :
)
Ever since truck went in for new air bag inflators it's been 'different'
Every time Ive taken it into dealers (not very often, even first service' was 'traumatic') the damn thing has come out 'worse' (but cleaner) than when it went in
Truck has been throwing codes for a few weeks but intermittent and doing a quick reset seemed to have fixed things (while I'm waiting for parts)
Well, this morning taking Jaxon to daycare it went onto two cylinders(maybe?) then cut out. It re-started and idled OK but wouldn't go over 1500 rpm
Holding pedal down it eventually 'cleared and ran REALLY well as long as I stayed over 4K
Managed to get to daycare, Jaxon was only about 10 ins later than normal
Damn truck ran like shit for about 2 miles then stopped (in middle of road works, on a bridge over I-4) Lucky for me it was 4 lane reduced to two lane so I pulled over and let it cool down a bit. Two guys in hard hats started coming over but when I said "i'm not parking, I'm breaking down" they went back to whatever
I ended up getting another 3/4 mile to a proper parking lot and walked last 3 miles home (no fun in 80 degree's) 2-1/2 hrs for a 30 min total trip sucked (plus I was probably overheated and dehydrated)
About 2hrs later I cycled back and JUST managed to coax it home (was OK except last 1/2 mile)
It's now on ramps outside garage, cat way btoo hot to mess with O2 sensors but air control valve is changed.
Hjopefully tomorrow I'll beable to get both O2 sensors changed and things will be back to normal?
It did give an injector code but hopefully it's because of O2 sensors.?
Anyway, what all this rambling means, I can't work on carbs, pistons or parts until I have transport fixed. Sorry for extra delay
