77 KZ650

I picked this up a few months ago off of craigslist. It's a 1977 KZ650. It came with the pods and kerker header for $900. It runs and sounds good with the kerker, anyway here is how i was riding it:



After removing this stuff when i got it:

Make a single person seat
Clipons
Raw the tank
New headlight
Simplify the wiring
Rearsets
Go through the Carbs

Hopefully i can get this all done by January before i move out down to Cincinnati for school.

Lookin good..nice score with a Kerker! I think that seat would be a good starting point for making a one up. If you don't use it, I would buy it. Have you pulled the plugs for a look...to make sure it's been jetted properly? Don't wanna lean it out too much. Definitely go through everything...carbs, timing, valve clearance, brakes(check your rear shoes!), cam chain, etc.

Might I suggest also registering over at www.kz650.info as well...great site for your specific ride.
