Anybody know a good metal fab guy local to Orange County? I'm in Newport Beach. Looking to have my subframe worked on.

Hi guys, just introducing myself. Over in Foothill Ranch (near Lake Forest).. picked up a '78 SR500 earlier this month from Sacramento and rode it down PCH back here.

Found some leaking in the rear shocks and some other speedbumps along the way forced my hand to start the restoration/modding earlier than I wanted.

Just sayin' hello and plan on meeting some of you guys in the future!

Damn!  Thats a really clean thumper, let us know the thread when you start it.  I'm in huntington beach, recently restored an XS750 Triple.  Your project looks like a way easier build.  Have fun with it, it will consume you...

^^^

I'm down.  We should meet at Cooks and do some canyon riding, or maybe stay coastal and do a PCH run?  The first weekend I could do it though wouldn't be for another two weeks....

Edit:  Ha, dcmspikes, looks like I'm only a couple miles from you.

YO...SoCal boys!  Who's going to the VVMC Rally in Venice tomorrow?

I wanna roll up with a bunch of bikes.  The VVMC guys are putting together a recreation of a famous photo from the 50's of about 100 bikes on an iconic Venice street.  I am trying to rally guys at the Shell Station @ Venice Blvd & 405.  The station is on Venice Blvd immediately East of the 405 overpass.

7:50am meet up.  8am roll out.  8:15 arrive and position bikes for photo.  Shutter snaps at 9am sharp.  Yes it'll take that long to get everyone in position.

NOTE: I am not putting together this photo op.  We are just showing up in a group to be in it.  The VVMC guys are orchestrating the photo...
