It all started with my good friend Matt's '72 CB350 he got summer 2008, A really clean low mile, all original motorcycle. I needed to have something to ride along on.
First I got my Suzuki GT185, has some decent rideability for around the city but felt I was limited. At this time we were slowly stripping Matt's 350 and playing with bars and exhausts, with that and his two parts bikes I was getting to know the CB350 well.
It wasn't until late this passed season I bought my '73 CB350, the twin to Matt's. I looked for A good amount of time before I found mine, in similar condition to Matt's, but with A high CL pipe, looks aftermarket and too new to be original but no complaints. We've been building Matt's bike all through this Winter, its coming along well considering all the other toys we've been working on. Mine is going slow, I don't have as much of a drive to strip mine down like Matt, however, I get my fix working on his with him.
Now to the good part. Here are more details and progress pictures.
Matt's bike bone stock right when he got it.
Finally, Winter of 08/09 came around, small modifications, it stood like this come Spring. The cut pipes were short lived, and changed back to stock.
Summer 09, Mac 2-1 header with custom exhaust. We rode to Raco testing grounds in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, this was before I had my CB, I rode Matt's RD350.
Shortly after the Mac, Matt picked up A better 2-1 off Ebay. Lost A sidecover badge, bummer.
Around this time I finally got my bike, identical to Matt's. Many pictures to come.
More followed up in next post....
