IMG_0902640x480.jpg

Started up the engine this week for the first time!! Its not running perfect but I will need to adjust the ingnition!!

After this start the engine stalled with a lot of noise!! Seems like a problem with the chain tensioner!! Same I had earlier!! Hopefully fix that this week and take the bike out for a first ride!!

To do list:
- Finish up the seat.
- Blinkers
- Buy a front fender and add the pedestrian cutter
- bring the hub and rims out for powder coat!! And put in some new wheel bearings!
- sandblast the exhaust, paint them and tape them in with heatwrap!

Add a lot of KM's on the speedo :D

What do you guys think? ;D

Re: CB360 Cafe'08

Nice. you didn't amke us wait weeks/months to see the progress. Start to finish. Hoep you get the motor sorted.

Cheers,

Welcome to DTT

Re: CB360 Cafe'08

Thnx guys! I'm having this bike for 1,5 year now!! Its taking much to long :(

Can anyone help me out with a set of 4 rockers and a camshaft for a CB360?

Re: CB360 Cafe'08

my jaw is to the ground! for a second there, i thought this was a few months of work...

looks beautiful... welcome to do the ton... i will be watching this one ;D

Re: CB360 Cafe'08

No it took a lot of work!! Mostly problems with the engine!!

Lucky found out why!!

Finally I know why the engine stalls!! There is a piece missing in the engine,

IMG_0925640x480.jpg

This holds the chainslipper from getting in touch with the chain!!

I bought another CB360 for the engine!!

IMG_0912640x480.jpg

IMG_0913640x480.jpg

Teared the complete bike down:

You are like the "rain man" of motorcycles! Walking motorcyclopedia! I bet you eat ball barrings in a bowl of 30w for breakfast every morning. Your glade plug in scent is cosmoline, you shower in a stream of 93 octaine fuel, and brush your teeth with a rotary tool and some emory polish!

Is there ever a monent that you are not thinking about motorcycles!

YOU ARE MY NEW HERO!

i was thinking the same thing. well, not exactly the same... but i read his post, looked at the picture and thought

"how the hell did he catch that one that quickly"

then i thought about it... and i remembered his vast experience working on these motors ;D

Re: CB360 Cafe'08

Yeah where would we be without people like Crazypj! 8)

Did some work in between the exams.

Sprayed the engine:
f.jpg

Bought a secondhand rockers wich are in perfect condition. In the engine are NOS rockers at the moment I will use them for rebuilding the other engine with a NOS camshaft.

IMG_0945.jpg

IMG_0946.jpg

One engine out!
IMG_0943.jpg

IMG_0942.jpg

I forgot to make some picture's of the rebuild. But the engine is already in completly! Only thing thats left is the clutchcover, a teacher of mine at school is welding this for me!! There is a little crack just above the oilfilter fitting.

Solved another problem, because I changed the angle of the exhaust the stand(juiste woord voor standaard?) will hit the chain.

I modified the bar on the other side.
IMG_0951.jpg

Welded in a bolt.
IMG_0952.jpg

Glued a nut in this piece of rubber with a kind of supermand kit! This is the result
IMG_0957.jpg

Only a new layer of paint and then its ready!!
Nou nog even spuiten en dan is die klaar, in de toekomst nog eens laten coaten.

Bought a new camera of a friend of mine, canon eos350D made some practice pics of the bike!:

Fitting the bike!
IMG_4465.jpg

IMG_4477.jpg

IMG_4479.jpg

IMG_4482.jpg

The list is getting shorter and shorter!!

- Start and adjust the engine.
- Finish up the wiring
- Make a new mount for the seat.
- Cover up the seat.
- Mount the exhaustwrap
- Some small details

- Ride a lot of km's!! But there will go something wrong again for the first test ride

Re: CB360 Cafe'08

Took a while! But I am back.

Still had some trouble to get the bike running properly. Finally with some help I managed to get the bike running as it should be!

And its sounds like this:

And when I pull the throthle:

th_21072010003.jpg

Running really smooth! The click your hearing is the choke valve of the carburetors.

Now a few last things and she's ready for a testdrive!

I'd ride it.

But you'd have to turn those tank badges around the right way for me first ;)

awesome work fella. well done

Re: CB360 Cafe'08 *She rides*

Yeah I know, terrible mistake with those tankbadges, their glued on to the tank/paint. So there is no possibility to remove them without daming the tank!

So thats a point thats have to wait :p

Thnx 8)

Re: CB360 Cafe'08 *She rides*

Hi Guys,

Its been a while since I took a look at this forum! Really busy with school, work and my car! Bike has been on a last place for some while! But where back and the bike is running like hell!
Ready for a new start at the forum! Saw a lot of really cool projects already! That puts a smile on my face!

Did a lot of small stuf; new license plate houlder, new gauges, carbs adjusting, fitted a new fuel tap, etc....
Currently the bike looked like this:

319245_192799564119747_100001691135641_514997_1703838_n.jpg

312739_192799437453093_100001691135641_514993_3849372_n.jpg

314778_192799384119765_100001691135641_514992_5185708_n.jpg

She is almost running perfectly, with the racing filters I couldn't get her running properly! Almost like they cut the air off!

So I bought two racing inlets:
29082011199.jpg

When I got them their where blue anodized, had a lot of trouble sanding them!
29082011200.jpg

30082011202.jpg

Fitted them today, tomorrow I will test them out!

Took the bike out for a ride today!! Finally got her running again! Enjoying the last few sunny days!

Finish touch:
IMG_08941.jpg

Oh btw, the fuel supply is a pain in the ass, if I fill the filters/hoses and carbs with fuel the bike is running perfectly but after 20 km's the fuel is up and it won't suck fuel from the gas tank.... I already replaced the fuel tap and with an open fuel cap the problem is the same..
