Heck yeah man! Tear that sucker apart! If you've never painted before, I highly recommend against trying with the $$ stuff first. TwistedWheels did a great write up on how to spray-bomb stuff, you should check that out first.

just an up date... its a bombing 50 degrees in NJ... so i broke the bike out to start doing a little polishing... not there yet... needs more sanding and polishing but its a start....

Dude, nice so far. Go start a thread in Big Arse projects. That's the place for your updates and progress pics. That's the place where folks will find your build more easily and contribute praise and ideas. Oh, and welcome to the board.

i'll take some pictures later... i ordered it off ebay... its pretty cool but def doesn't look like the seat they pictured...

weather is good again so i decided to take on the task of putting on the clubmans... so i notched out the switches and everything went pretty easy... here are some pictures of the progress... as well if any one know what the green and yellow wire and black wire hanging out there are please let me know... hasn't affected the bike starting or any lights.... i think they are for the handle bar break but i'm not sure

Got a wiring diagram? I think the green is a ground. The yellow might be for an electric start, and the black could possibly be for the horn? All just guesses.......

Double check to be sure where they go before hooking them up to anything!

Yes, you are correct, those two wires are for the brake light switch.

thanks! i'm prob not going to hook them back up but before i taped them off i wanted to figure out what they were.... gotta get started on body work now... can't decide weather i want to use the cb or the cl tank...

i got dirty today... i dremeled off the old fuel equalizing tubes and welded up some new ones... the weld still need alot of cleaning up but i was surprised how easy it was... hopefully it holds up but i feel i did a good job... i figured while i was at it i'ld give hammering knee dents a shot... it was so easy! anyone afraid to give this a shot don't be! today was just my lucky day everything went great... check out the pictures i took a crap ton... i definatly will be using the cl tank... love the way it looks so much better...

here is some progress on the bike... i bought a led tail light and chopped the rear fender leaving a tab to mount the light and mounted it...loving the way it looks... prob gonna buy some mini led turn signals... still working on the knee dents body work on the tank... i hate body work so much!!! its taking me forever... i'm not sure if i like the seat... i think i might shave the foam down in the front... doesn't look like it fits right... what do you think?

I think you're right. The seat looks good, but the foam does need shaved a little bit. Right now it looks like more of a "saddle".

Body work does suck! That's why a dent on a car costs $$$!
