looks nice under there,. but dont forget that your wheel might need some of that room between the frame rails when your suspension is moving.

Good call, I have the SL shocks set at their lowest setting right now so when I get the seat on I'll bounce around and adjust accordingly, see if that does the trick

Back from hibernating!  Parts finally arrived the other day, including the newly painted seat and tank so I took a half day at work yesterday and buttoned everything back up.  After a little tinkering with the carbs and a fresh tank of high octane she ran like a charm!  Felt so good to take her around the block a few times, its been well over a year.

Pictures and maybe even a video soon but I do have one minor problemo:

Riding into work today she was running strong from the start but as the engine warmed up, I pretty much lost my low end.  Like, nothing.  Half-way onto the throttle and it perked up, but as it got warmer, I lost more and more power.  I'm running velocity stacks and pretty much open exhaust so maybe I need to re-jet?  Main Jets? Slow jets?  Never had the need to rejet before so I'm looking for all the advice I can get.  Thanks in advance, photos soon I promise!

Welp, here she is boys and girls, 'Ol no.7 herself:

First 15 miles...

She's running OK, but needs improvement as mentioned in the previous post.  Also need a clutch expert to help with some adjustments.  Any takers??

I knew it smelled funny... also, I get to blame you for getting caught in the rain tonight.  AND burning my arm on the exhaust while drying her off.  Alllllllllllllll because you sat on her before my maiden voyage.  Thanks a lot. hahahaha

Holy shit dude, I just finished her today!!!!  Glad you like it, I know I'm in love.  There's still a bunch of things I want to do but for right now I'm going to get it running like it should so I can enjoy the ride.  I cant tell you how dumbfounded I am by a nomination like that.  Just motivates me to work on her even more, tomorrow will be a big day...
