yesterday decided to stop being a punk and do the tank extention. Ended up being alot easier than I thought, took less than an hour to get to this point. here is the tank, and after some additional work mocked up, when finished tank will be silver/grey with black stripe like its mocked.

I dunno Brad, I kinda like it. But of course it's completely up to you.

Is there any way to embed it into the fiberglass a little bit?

Wait till it gets paint Rich, I bet it will rock. Can't wait to see this done Brad. Glad that won't be long the way you work.

Thanks guys, it is going much smoother this time around, thank god! The wheels are going to get relaced and the new tires put on next weekend so I am going to try to have it complete by then. Made some changes to the tail yesterday I think it is going to work out. post pics when tail is painted.

Thanks again all! Well got the wheels back 18 inch front and rear with the battleaxes. Changed the tail design, got rid of the integrated light, I kinda want the bike to be like a 1960s race bike that someone added a brake light to. Also added a cr72 style crank case breater, but I added a filter. Hopfully be painted be the weekend, I think I will do a black tail, kind of rc142 meets cr110/72

yeah that definitely has an old-school early-60s racing look to it. to me it has a british flair, like a Royal Enfield or something. mixed with japanese small-displacement GP race bike. nice!

hey thats a great idea with the tank extension. did you find the fiberglass adhered and blended to the metal of the tank? what kind of resin/hardener do you use? it looks tight.

thanks. It blended well, I first attached it with bondo then glassed over that, blending between steps. I just use polyester, fom boaters usa, I dont need the strenghth or expense of epoxy.

All the main things are done anyway. Alot of small finishing touches left to do, front turns, rear monting brackets, licence bracket, and rear view mirrors, other than that just about ready to go.

Geez Brad - how many bikes do you build a year? :D

Looks great!
I'm done. I'm beaten. I finally quit. I'm cleaning shop over the next couple weeks. So I'll be getting back to anybody / everybody what I owe.

That bike is amazing. Seriously, if and when you decide to sell this one, please let me know! Its almost an exact replia of the factory racer, the 2004 Honda Dream 50R, but legal... I absolutly love it man. Great work!
