best option is to cut the frame sadly, but can't make a cake without breaking some eggs.

I'm going to be cutting mine in the next few weeks and doing the "skateboard seat" for mine.

I did mine by cutting a beat to shit CB550 gas tank and welding it to the stock pan.  Needs better upholstery, but the seat itself came out nice IMO.

Here's mine, although it's far from being done and still looks like crap...  Angry

I cut my frame about four inches from the shocks and taped off the frame. Laid foil over the top and shot "great stuff" over the rear to form the hump. The seat pad was made from a separate fiberglass pan and padded with carpet padding and three layers of open-cell foam. The vinyl is riveted to the pan. Hope this helps.

I really never noticed many issues with the KZ frame, no more than other bikes. At least it already has the rear hoop from the factory, not like some other bikes that just have the two frame ends.

Here's mine.

The problem is the horizontal line of the bike, my tank have a angle, the rear seat have a angle too and the middle have step...
I want a perfect line ( the yellow line )

I will perhaps change tank...
Deacon, yours looks very nice! Is what model?

My KZ is a '78 650 D1, however the tank is off another model. I'm not sure which one though.
