Hey guys, we just ran a small piece on The Dime City Diatribe on this build, but I know some of you might not hit it often and this one has some good stuff that needs to be seen, so I figured I post some pics up here. The full BLOG post can be seen here for those of you who want to check that out: http://www.dimecitycycles.com/blog/rustyknucklescb650caferacer/

Ralph from Rusty Knuckles is a kick-ass guy with loads of creativity. All too often we see Cafe's with too much modern flair that don't really look all that "Cafe" when completed. Ralph has some how managed to blend a little modern class, with some southern crass and the result is in our minds, is pretty friggen cool! And you guys know how we feel about Hondas! :)

It's a CB650 built from the ground up by him in The Rusty Knuckles Shop based in North Carolina. We just love the engraving work on the dyno side along with the side covers. The paintwork (a little like Troy's) is sweet as well!

Anyways, just wanted to share the creativity. You never know what images will inspire in others! You can checkout their BLOG for some cool stuff as well http://rustyknuckles.blogspot.com/ it's one of the Dime City Crew's top 5 we check every morning. You just never know what Ralph is gonna throw up there next!

Enjoy!

Jason

LOL Joe.. Those are "artistic" shots. :) I ran them through some digital wash processes to make them look like old Polaroid 35MM film that has been pushed ahead two slides.

ha ha ha sounds good, got any of the pre artistic shots? exp wiht the paint work man i would love to see it in detail

Very nice. Ive never liked the 650's, but that is really clean. Just shows you what time and an obvious BOATLOAD of talent can get you. Would love to see it in person.

Hey, i know that guy!

I meet ralph and saw the bike at a hotrod show last year. helluva nice guy and a sweet bike too.

if yall are interested in seeing the build photos, check out my flickr page

All the original photos are on there including the wrecked original bike I picked up on craigslist for about $325

for the pod/pancake filters, they were a bitch to find. Finally found a full set on ebay from a company in Taiwan. They are still a tight fit on the third from left filter which has the choke cable pull to the left of it.

i enjoyed meeting ya and talking bikes at the Steel in Motion show last fall.
Keep up the good work!

Oh hells yeah, hahaha. that was a good time. Really looking forward to the Bull City Rumble on Sept 4th. I can't believe the amount of killer bikes that showed up out of the woodwork for that event.

Yall might be interested in the fall run we are putting on. We started our first annual big run in the spring called the Revenge Run

That is friekin' beautiful. Perfect lines and details. I was eying up a v-rod fairing earlier tonight actually. Don't quite flow with my bike but looking for winter projects a;ready. Well done and keep it up. What else you got/built?

very nicely done! wow man looking at the real photos of this build are 100% better, such detail and killer work. love it. the tail section is the balls man! so nicely done... i have always hated the filler plates that people make for the sides of these bikes but have to admit, you pulled it off well it works great with your build man!

drum roll please, the fairing is a Harley trade secret. Look at models made around 2000 and see if you can find the factory bike it came off of, hahahha.
