Has anyone built a fiberglass tank around the stock metal tank leaving it inside.  I knows this is ghetto but surely someone has done this b4 right? In theory this must be possible, any input guys???

I have seen a couple of folks on this board extent stock metal tanks with fiberglass. It is definitely do-able.

+1, there is one of the guys with a small cc cafe build that did one in silver, can't remember the exact thread. But the pics looked great.  Not sure if it is durable but seemed to look nice.

Check out the end of this thread.  This guy did a good job of it.  It's also a really cool build.

Thanks for the ideas.  Anyone have a link to a build where someone has extended their tank? You know how it is when you are looking for something you can never find it on the forum.  Someone else looks and they find it instantly.  I really like the look of this tank/seat combo on the 450
