Strit's 1971 CL450 Project

I spend enough time lurking here, I might as well start a thread. Thiss is my 1971 Honda CL450 cafe build. Not really going totally nuts on this one, just want to get it done and ride the fu*k out of it. lowering the front and rear, cafe seat, hopefully small windscreen,blah blah blah. I have torn it completely down, powder coated most everything, except the tank and side covers, I really like the stock paint. I'll try to keep this updated, especially once I start putting it back together. later strit

yep, for sure going with the high pipes, I got new mufflers though. I've got it completely torn down. I powder coated a ton of parts including the wheels as you can see, with new tires mounted. I have most everything I need to complete this other than seat,fairing, a few small odd's and end's and time, lots of time. Probably won't get much time till winter, but alot is already done. My carbs are now clean and ready to go. I shortened the front end by 1.5", using 2" lower shocks in the rear. Cleaning up the engine and stripping the frame for powder coat are next. I'll try to keep this thread updated. later

Well, she's almost done. I've gotta get the exhaust on, front brake cable and still waiting on air filters to get here. I'll post a bunch of pics here real soon.
