It,s winter in England now and they have started salting the roads. Minus 2 degrees.
She,s going to hibernate until spring.

that tank looks proper on that frame... with that engine in it... with those wheels....

yeah, its perfect.

Great work.

If it was in my garage, there is no way I could let her sleep through the winter.

Wow. One post, and you win! That is a beautiful bike. Well done. Any documentation on the journey to the final product?

I'd ride it ;)

Tell you what tho fella. You're gonna have a hard job keeping future posts up to this standard ;D

Fantastic bike. We need to hear more about it ::)

cheers

Absolutely Awesome, I can not imagine how many hours it took just to locate the parts, let alone assemble them into such a beautiful machine... congrats on recreating the very roots of cafe-ism!

The front brake is a magnesium manx from 1952.
It originally had a single leading shoe brakeplate. I changed it for a twin leading shoe.

The original hub was in good condition and so light with no broken webbing that I used it with the new brake plate.

Sorry , I posted a picture of the repro hub , the one that I didn't use. I don't have a closeup of the original.

This is the reverse of the new plate. In use it isn't as powerfull as it looks , so this winter its having the pads split into a soft leading edge to pull the brake on and a harder pad behind. Everything is an experiment!

OH....OH.....OH..... I think I am getting a chubby   . Looks like a future "Bike of the Month" to me.... :p :p :p

How many of you have ever ridden a Vincent ??? ??? ???....... besides me and Norvin.....

Just wondering if anyone has ridden a Vincent ??? ??? ???.....

Oooh My God!!!!!
I'm having a hard time typing because of all the drool on the keyboard.

Is it possible a drum brake can be considerd a work of art? It would look good on my coffe table.

Riden a Vincent? No .... But I have an original mint parts book. .... It's the closest I'll ever come.
