so here's what i have so far.  the lighting was bad in the garage.. but this is what i managed to snap





im upholstering it up tomorrow because the paint is still a lil tacky. i should have more pics this weekend

Right on man. Do those triples fit up without doing an work to the frame?

Kinda. The frame you dont have to mess with, its just the bearing and stems.  if you want a spoke wheel, there's a little more work to be done. These two guys have amazing write ups on how they did it

paint and upholstery is finally done.  im getting rid of the clubman bars(its on upside down because it wont clear the gas tank) and opting for clipons which will give the front end a more aggressive look. im lowering the headlight bucket and moving the tach down as well.

Im still waiting on parts for the gsxr front end.


Ill get better pics up when i bring the bike to the photo booth at work.  Im glad im almost finished, just ned to clean up the motor and new rear shocks and so on.

Nice!  I was working on a new template for my tach bracket this evening.  Mine is set up like yours, in the center.  My original bracket was too high and looked weird from full frontal and side view.  Do you have a close up of your bracket?

I'm curious to see what you guys figured out for this. I just made a tmeplate for mine but havent actually made the real thing yet. Maybe 3/16" steel plate so it won't vibrate so much. I plan on making/buying two 2" long spacers that mount to the top triple from underneath.

Nice work . I think your speedo mount will work just be sure to add rubber insulators to absorb shock or it will fall off and/or malfunction. I notice you didn't dent the tank. I can tell you from experiance knee dents and the bodywork it takes to make 'em look right takes anywhere from 10-20 hours.If you have limited bodywork experiance double that estimate. And love the color scheme

Wow, that's the shape mine took, except I had a hole drilled off to the side for the choke and a cutout for the ignition/lock. 

Second that on the time to do the tank!  I had fits with mine and had to basically re-do my dents as the first version didn't follow the line of the seat very well.

Ill get pics up soon of the bracket. I've been mixing and matching parts from my 79 cb650.  The original gauges from this bike were a little too modern.
 
As far as the tank goes, im practicing my knee denting on a couple different tanks.

I had to psych myself up to dent a perfectly good tank, so I bought another!  Anyway, you should've seen the neighbors popping their heads out their doorways and the ones outside craning their necks to see what the hell I was doing.  It's loud, but very satisfying whacking that tank!





Kept fuse box in stock location.  Thought I could mount indicator lights under tach (square cut out above ignition), but now see it's a awkward set up.  I'd like to use LED's but don't quite know where to put them.  Obvious place is in fuse box cover?  I used this heavy piece of steel because the bend was right.  It's 16 gauge and too hard to work with.  I'm looking for a nice piece of  1/8" aluminum.
