First build CB360, any help will be great!!!!!!!!

(1/14) > >>

Moglix:
So after riding bicycles for years and now being carless figured I'd better make the next step, rode vespas for ages
figured this sort of build would be a good start??!!
Anyway, picked this up for the equivilant of 500US, running, got a wof and reg, all legal for road as is.....  im in NZ
Needs wiring looked at, good tune etc, otherwise pretty damn straight
Plan on building a tracker/brat

Heres some pre shots, plan to change bars, grips, remove rev counter, led thingy, indicators, new seat, remove guards, pods etc.
Will need indicators, few other things to comply....

Question i really have at this stage is about tires. Have read the post on tire width, plus spoken to local bike shop etc.
Currently the front is a 3.00 x 18 ,the rear a 3.50 x 18. (what the tires say anyway, newb!)
I would love to run firestones 400x18s on it but is this going to work,
Local bike shop sells hell no, forums, and website say otherwise..
I'll be used mainly for city commuting 90% of the time....

Also any suggestions fire away....
* sorry for any naivity

Jake73:
What a great canvas. Good luck with the build.

Moglix:
Been away, quick update thus far.. changed bars, grips, sanded and painted tank, parts ordered have started to arrive, will attack and post pics soon...

Moglix:
Righto. between all the fucking earthquakes and shit going on here in CHCH New Zealand, I've been slowly making some progress, sorry for no posts but shits been mentl here, best thing is my bike survived all the big ones, only fell once, bent the rear brake was about that....
So heres some pics of whats been chopped off, change of bars etc.. Carb is apart, new needles, diaphrams and posd to follow... will be updating this more!!

Moglix:

So the camera that had more pics on it died in the quake so here is a photo of where at now, will try find some in between shots somewhere....
So I've cut and ground off most things I dont need, side cover mount etc, still have a few more to cut off. A friend fabricated up a nice rear curve and welded it
up. Still need to sort how speedo fits, indicators, new seat in progress and also battery bix etc...
Here is how it stands as of right now.... next step get my motorbike licence :) Learning a bit as i go, slowly but surely.... rode it post quake through all sort of shit, never missed a beat, cant wait to ride again!!!! need to sort the height of rear brake too. the metal stopper os bent ...
