NOS CB500/550 605 kit. Includes liners for the 500, uses existing liners for the 550. Installing 500 liners is very simple, jugs in the oven and the stock liners fall right out. It's a popular, very well made kit. Most guys using this kit are swapping in OEM 750 oiler rings. Purchased to go racing but have to shell out the coin for custom high compression kit.

A fairly simple, well documented swap. All the information you'll need online. Would be a hot motor coupled with a CB650 cam shaft, which is a direct fit swap.

300 and I'll split shipping with you at 10$.

If it uses existing 550 liners its a 591 kit (I don't care what it says on the box, 591 is as big as you can go in 550 liners)
Pistons should be a nominal 61mm
I'm almost tempted even though I don't have a 550 (at least not here, it's still in Britain)
I did over 70,000 miles on my 591 ;D
Rolling up to 100,000 miles

ill 2nd crazypj they are the first over size for a 550, but it is a great deal. i had just the piston kit with no sleaves and they worked great in my 550 good luck with the sale

They are not second or even 4th over 550 pistons, they are same bore as CB750, probably equivalent to 6th or 8th over, I forget
If I knew 35 yrs ago what I know now I would probably fit new liners and modify CB350twin pistons for a high torque 720 motor (550 valves are too small for that much overbore ;D )

They are 61mm, same as 750. I think it's really 592.

A big 550 in the 720 range was built over on the SOHC4 and he ran into porosity issues in the jugs. Kibblewhite is doing 1mm over valves now for the 550 I think...

Yeah, it's always an issue with real big bore modifications. (6mm +)
Biggest I've done is 14mm over on a CJ250 (391cc)
I rarely even think about it though, 0.003" interference fit and they don't weep, plus Honda's support base gaskets pretty good (unlike Yamaha XS650 ::) )
2~3mm boring in stock liners is never an issue

Bump, so am I ;)
As I said earlier, If I had a use for them I would be all over it.
Already have way too many projects going on though and not a 500 or 550 in sight :(
