Seeing Bryan Fuller ride the stock CB, I kept thinking how cool that bike looked and should be left alone.  Really was sad to see him hack it to pieces.  I've no doubt the guy is very talented but this just seemed lame...especially on such a rare bike and on a show that makes it a point to pay homage and respect to history of vintage bikes/culture.  I do realize that customizing and creating something unique is what makes cafe bikes great, just think he could have picked a better donor.

AS a TV show, I'm sure it misses a lot...just seemed a bit contradictory.

I was at a Duc show about a month ago an Alonzo brought his bike. It is very impressive. the attention to detail and the quality of work is over the top. the Zard exhaust in itself a work of art. everyone colors in between the lines differently, so as always it's not for everyone it's just for him an for that it's beautiful.

A cb750 is far from a cb750... K0 or not.  We're not talking about a single production piece here.  We're talking about a bike that is well represented in its fully restored form.  If I had the money, and I had a shelby gt350 (which is far more valuable and rare than a cb750k0), would I cut the living hell out of it to build something that I think is cool?  Hell yeah.  Plus I did the guys who own restored ones a favor by making theirs more valuable.

I don't know what show you guys watched, but they didn't actually show the finished bike... at least not on the west coast.  What was the 'true' cafe scene about anyway?  It was about making your bike faster, and look cooler with the capabilities and knowledge that you have.  Yes Fuller is pro fabricator, no hes no a race bike engineer, but are any of you?  You can seriously determine how well a bike performs based on looking at it on a TV show?

Did fuller make the bike better?  Only he truely knows.
Did he make it better looking?  Some people will certainly think so, the main thing is that HE thinks so, its his bike afterall.  I mean, do you REALLY care if others can't appreciate what you've built?  You shouldn't.

Its a TV show gentlemen, they are going to what ever it takes in the editing room to make the show more interesting to the general public.  Whats that?  The target audience isn't people who can actually build bikes, but average people who can't.  The majority of people who are watching shows like this and American Chopper, don't know the first thing about motorcycles.  Like I said the show is weak... just like all reality TV shows.  Ever watch the storage auction shows?  Terrible... BUT its fun to watch, even if you know half or more of it is fake.  Its shock value, and entertainment, nothing more.

If you are getting your education from watching television, I feel sorry for you... (*cough* jersey shore)

Thanks for showing that pic moho, I like it!  JMHO

Kinda reminds me of my own hack... its in the newbie intro section, just in case you guys want to point and laugh.

That video was awesome, maybe Alonzo Boden should be the host of the show...

I watched for the first time. I thought how nice that KO was when Fuller was riding it. I agree with the majority on it being cut up. I don't care if it is his bike or not. What did he prove by buying a nice one owner 750 and cutting it up? In my oppinion if that white bike with the red wheels is the finished deal he created a bike for a 70's pimp. He should have covered the seat in velvet. About Fuller beining a nice guy and winning awards and all, thats nice, but he comes across as a dweeb on tv. I watched Two Guys Garage with Sam Memmolo a couple of years back and he had a funny boy attitude on that. I told my wife that I hope won't be a regular. About Boden's bike, I don't think a custom sportbike is a cafe bike although it is nice. It should be on a different progam. Well, I got to get out to the shop and get my front wheel and rear wheel lined up and start bending some tubing for my CX cafe frame.

Well said!  lol  You obviously spent a lot of time and brain power to come up with that response.  If I'm an idiot for having enough courage to have an opinion that differs from the masses, I'll gladly take that title.  I'd rather be an IDIOT than be a lemming.

Joe, the reason your an idiot is, you don't actually KNOW what your looking at.
Your being sold the sizzle, not the steak  :o
A 'built' 836 motor with CR carbs will be good for at least 130 mph.
That bike has modifications which do not improve handling and WILL make it dangerous on even an undulating road/track at speed.
Front end wasn't very good when new and stock, removing parts and thinning fork legs will make things substantially worse.
It doesn't matter how good it looks if it wont go round corners properly  ::)
