Thanks PJ, I realized today that I missed both times last night..and honestly my life hasn't been any less exciting.  Since we ditched DVR, I have to actually be in front of the TV at scheduled times to see it...I might have to catch the series if it ever goes streaming where I can pause it when I have to pay the bills or change a diaper...LOL!

I dont post here often, but I love ripping this guy Fuller and the show. I watched last night and i thought the Previous Owner hated the ride of the new bike. I think they edited out alot, but he thought it sucked. And the new oner is a dick (richard). How do I know, I sold Mercedes Benz cars and only a dick (richard) buys a CLS AMG65, Its like the bike he had built for himself, different looking, fast , overpriced and handles like shit.  The more I see him rip apart that bike the madder I get. He could of rebuilt any engine or frame.

I think the previous owner's look after he rode it summed it up for me: dissapointment and regret.

I agree on the po's look. I don't see how that bike could handle. The geomertry looks all wrong. The bottom of the engine is tilted up in the rear like its nose down. I bet that thing is twitchy as hell and has high speed wobble. Looks like a stinkbug.  Still pisses me off when I see it. I guess the show is going to be a 30min episode with a reapeat of the previous week. Other than Fuller the 59 club was intresting.

PJ, I read the post on CB750 . Cool guys or not they forked up a nice bike. Kinda like taking a 32 Ford Vickie and building a rat rod out of it.jmho! Like said before, start with an averege bike or build one from a basket case. To late now, whats done is done.

shotgunjoe, I respectfully disagree with everything in your post except this part, which is right on the money:

Its a TV show gentlemen, they are going to what ever it takes in the editing room to make the show more interesting to the general public.  Whats that?  The target audience isn't people who can actually build bikes, but average people who can't.  The majority of people who are watching shows like this and American Chopper, don't know the first thing about motorcycles.  Like I said the show is weak... just like all reality TV shows.  Ever watch the storage auction shows?  Terrible... BUT its fun to watch, even if you know half or more of it is fake.  Its shock value, and entertainment, nothing more.

I have yet to make it through a complete episode so far.  So I have to watch it on rerun to catch what I missed.  Mike Seat (sp?) is a tool and as far as I can tell, he is helping to OCCify the cafe scene in short order.  Which is actually a good thing, because once it runs it's all to short course the prices of these old bikes will come back to reality, and those of us that really love riding a stripped down, nothing but what's needed to make it run kind of bike that we can wrench on ourselves will be back to finding great deals and making them our own.  I do appreciate the skill needed to be a custom builder because it's painfully obvious at times that I possess none of it. And I have taken a tip or two from these guys as well.  To throw my .02 on the Fuller bike, ya it looks kind of cool- but I almost punched him right through my TV for hacking up a beauty with great history right in front of the P.O.  Since I'm ranting - I don't get flying the 59 club colors as it were if you aren't actually in it?  It still exists and is a successfull nonprofit doing good things based on strong Christian values.  It's not a baseball team.

I dropped the magazine, and view the show much like anything else on TV - sure it's entertaining at times.

Can you tell work sucks today? and now I'm going to be out of town this weekend and miss Cleveland's Mod vs Rockers!

I wasnt so much disappointed in fuller ( who is one big laughable stereotype ) as I was the show in general. You think, finally someone is going to bring my little hobby to the world and people will know what I mean when I say cafe racer. Little do you know what an amazing niche you have when the masses are ignorant to it. Now cafe is a cheap trick pony at the mercy of corporate d-bags and shows like this seeing potential dollar signs. Its sad. Im all about modern mods and customizing, it is great entertainment, but you quickly realize this show is a joke within the first few minutes of watching. But hell if it was about garage builders only us jerk offs would be watching and we're only 10,000 strong at our best. Oh well, they win, I just wish they weren't associated with this and other great vintage bike sites. I won't loose sleep over it nor will my bike be slowed down. Like PJ said.... its in the way of my Royal Pains time anyway  ;)

I know this is an old topic and it's been beat to death...  Anyone who thinks the show is really about cafe racers is misguided.  The entire network appeals to old guys with a fair amount of disposable income.  Look at all the programming.  Mecum's, Chasing Classic Cars, etc.  They are not marketing towards the true cafe racer fan--they just want another high dollar product to sell.  Chet Burks is a content shop hack that only produces garbage to get paid--however, I don't blame him.  Everyone needs to eat.  I for one watch the show because I find somethings interesting due to the lack of programming anywhere else.  I hate the editing and I hate Seate, but for what it is worth it's entertaining.  I do not agree with a lot of stuff on the show but when the choice is garbage with some interesting bits or nothing--I pick garbage.  I hate that they will never put a real cafe racer show on tv, but I have to try and find the good in what is already out there.  I know, sad.
