OK, I'm back on it & trying to finish my tail section plug so I can make a mold & a few copies. Man bondo is a pain in the ass. I've also decided to make this the most complicated tail shape for some reason, I must hate myself, haha.

Once I get the shape as close as humanly possible with the bondo I'm going to put a coat resin on it which will hopefully give me a really smooth surface... either that or a bunch of high build primer & some hi gloss paint... any ideas?

gmoore:
Seems like Flickr is being weird & won't let me imbed the photos... oh well, those are the links to pics of the tail if anyones interested!

Here we go... good ol' photobucket!

I'm making a recessed area when the seat pan will go... It'll be sheet metal with foam and covered in a gold/tan vinyl. I'm hoping that it being recessed will make the seat look nice and flush with the tail & the seat will be held in with heavy duty velcro so I can easily pull it out and put it on the other tail that I'm making for her other "outfit".

NBraun:
we got the same bike! The seats lookin good!

Hopefully I'll be priming & painting my plug sometime this week. what color gloss do you guys think will show the discrepancies the best? I was thinking black?
