is it possible to get a regulator from radio shack to use on my 74 honda cb200?? ive heard of people using the rectifiers from them, but what about a 12 volt regulator? i really dont feel like waiting a week for a regulator to come in the mail.. any input would be greatly appreciated!

might i add that they have adjustable regulators there that can adust all they way to 34 volts.. which is way more then i need, and also put out 1.5 amps.. thinking if i add a heatsink to it it could work.. i could be wrong though?
