Anybody good with wiring in chicagoland?

I've been given permission to work on my bike in the shop on Saturdays, which means I also have access to all of the tools and equipment. If anybody needs wiring help and can get their bike out near O'Hare (near Algonquin & Elmhurst Rd. in Arlington Heights) I would be more than happy to lend a hand. I work for a custom machine builder, and wiring 24VDC is one of my duties. It's a little bit different than motorcycle and auto wiring, but the theory is the same. Bring your own wire and connectors. I got all the tools.

Out of town this weekend, but I will be in the shop on 10/29, and hopefully every Saturday in November. I'd offer to come out to you guys and help, but boss man has me running all over the country this winter so I gotta be selfish with my free time. But like I said, if you can get it here, I will help.

Awesome! Well I work on Saturdays but I'll try and figure a bit of this out myself first- sorta try and see if I can do it by myself at first but if something stumps me ill be sure and hit you guys up.

thankss

sounds good man... to be honest i would gut the stock harness and build my own for it... for your bike it is so easy! i have a diagram you can follow and just build a new set up based on what you are going to use... then all your wires you can color code and set up the way you want... we do not have to go to my shop for this at all... i have a lift, lights, soldering irons and anything we could possibly need at my house... all i ask is you pick up the beer, wire, and shrink wrap so we do not go though all mine...

for wire i HIGHLY recomend going to harbor freight wiht a 20% off coupon and get the wire rack w/ wire... works great, and then shrink wrap righ there... after we get all your wires cut and figuredout we can braid it all in and cut them to lenth. look great and work perfect!
