I have a video of it starting but for some reason cant get it to post but will get it up some how .
OK so i started last nights work by cleaning any PC off of the spots i dont want it . Was not to bad over all with a lil sanding here and there . Then moved on to getting some legs under the bike with the swingarm and shocks. Took lil longer to do this so to the fact my brass bushings needed some fine tuning . Got it nice and smooth and working like it should and went togther nice . My buddy sstop over who is making my spacer for the FZR front brake set up and ran into a small problem . Do to the fact im running 77 RD400 wheels , 78 XS500 forks i cant running the spacer that we thought we could . So we spent the rest of the night comeing up with a few ideas and in the end got it figured out . Now just need to wait till some Alum comes in to make the new spacer and get it mounted . We did throw the disk on to see how it looked and if everything will line up and not rub on anything or jam and throw me over the bar on to my face . Didnt get as far as i would have liked but not in a rush or bad things could happen . So at the end of the night i couldnt help but throw the tank and seat on to see out it looked . I can still move forward and get a few other things done till the spacer is ready so the next thing im planing to do it get the front forks on and wheels ..........

I just wanted to remind myself where this bike started from. From clicking on page one to page fourteen I am dumbfounded in the transformation so far. You should be extremely proud of yourself. I think this will end up being one of the best builds on dtt. Well done mate.

Wow man thanks for the pressure lol ! And thanks guys . Well as you can guess was out in the shop all night again . Started with placing the new head bearings place the race in the frig over night . Lil bit of love and they seated right in . Then got the forks on and just place the front wheel on its axel still need to work on spacer . Made sure i put the clip-on clamps on befor the top tree went on . So moved onto the rear wheel now i know there's no disk on the back but it will be drilled to mach the front FZR disk . I wounder if i could run a rear FZR disk ? Maybe next winter on that one so got everything mounted and its on its own legs. I did this so i could place the motor in and give me lil more stable platform to slid the motor in . Taped a few thing up and with a helping hand from a friend slide the motor right in and no dings . Took some messing with but got all the bolts in . Now tho i see i need to replace the the washers and nuts . So just thought the carb where just sitting there begging to go on the motor and next thing you know there mounted . Then thought why not the pods also so there on ! Here's a few picks of the work tonight !

Hey man, if you do indeed pick up a rear FZR rotor, I have a rear FZR caliper sitting in my shop. If you want it, I'll send it your way.

I agree on that , have the sheet metal sitting there waiting to be cut and mounted. But now that i see a clear one might have to rethink it . Thanks for the pic !
