then rejet etc etc etc. really looking forward to it all coming together. im really trying to make the bike unique
Thx man ya im in love the Cb's .... Got alot more pics to come I always like reading Threads on other peoples builds. im really excited to get the engine done and everything back together. im getting the entire seat piece and fender Coppered and the shortened front fender coppered. as well as some parts on the engine and rearsets. i know im going to have some other pieces coppered but i want to see those pieces done and on the bike first before i decided what others i wanna do.
I want a nice balance of warm metal finishes and copper .
Kott Motorcycles did it for me. im mainly doing the engine and relacing the wheels and truing the wheels. as well as coming up with the concept
for the bike.
Re: My First Build 1978 cb550k (updated nov29th) Project: COPPER
Got a new chain in today and did alittle painting. Being a chef in the restaurant industry doesnt leave alot of time to get work done everyday! but little by little getting it done
Re: My First Build 1978 cb550k (updated nov29th) Project: COPPER
Love the copper! I have always wanted to see that done to a bike. I wanted to do something similar and then speed up the patina with a certain fertilizer spray that you can get from the hardware store.
Re: My First Build 1978 cb550k (updated nov29th) Project: COPPER
Thx man. I love the metal and copper. Gives it such a unique attitude. Sorta steampunkish imo. Dustin kott has done several copper builds you should check them out. I wanted my unique without copying someone elses bike.
