CB750 brat build

So after a few years of kicking around the idea of building a CB I finally bit the bullet and did it. I picked up an over all decent running 1975 Honda CB750 and got to work.

The day I brought it home, not bad.

I'm pretty happy with the way its coming along so far, really digging the stance but the front will have to come down a bit. Still a bit of work to go, all comments and opinions are welcome.

Here is what it looks like today, always an on going project

The bike came out great.. Did you rattle can the rims, shocks, and the trees your self or did you powder coat?

Keep it blue! You can't mess to much with a bike that stood up to the elements and PO's for all those years and still looks that good!

Making that brat style look easy.

I like that kept you the seat hinges, but sucks that you chopped the frame.

Guess if someone really want to restore one to perfect condition they could afford a stock frame though, right?

wow i love that bike. great stuff definitely going to take a page out of this script

how much $ did you throw into this build and how long did it take?

Total with buying the bike was between $3000.00 to $3500.00, took about two months to build working on it every weekend but it truly won't ever be done ;-)

How did you weld the frame loop to the frame? I'm curious because I jus did mine this last weekend.

I may have over done it but it will support weight when we ride 2 up

Great build man! What size firestone is that up front? and in the back?
Bike looks awesome the Wrenchmonkees would be proud!

How's it ride with no fender and that Firestone up front? CB750 forks require a fork brace or the legs shift in turns. That's why I haven't lost my front fender yet (although I'm thinking of running just a black brace in the summer.)

Cool 8)

I'm working on a similar bike ( even same colour ) builing an "original / café " from it.
Any left over parts I might be interested in ? ::)
