I'm running 100 front and 110 rear. You can fit a 120 in there, but I don't recommend it. It's really too much tire for the factory rim width and a 110, looks great. I also highly recommend the Avon AM26 RoadRiders, they've have been fantastic.

I have been finding all kinds of information about tires for them. It seems they have a narrow rim both front and read only like 1.85". What size tires you running front and back? Mine has a 4.0x18 rear and 100/90-18 front and I assume the PO had no issues with these sizes. I was going to do a 110 or 120 rear and keep the 100 front.

what I ended up running with was 100/90 18 front 110/90 18 rear works just fine

100 frnt 110 rear. I have a venom n frnt and roadrider on rear. Been happy wih both. The venom is nice and sticky. I run 7w fork oil and thenfront sticks wonderfully. My chicken strips are only hampered by the mufflers. Which will be gone soon.
I feel sorry for people that dont drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as their gonna feel all day.

Well after a long wait, I finally got my seat. The seat looks great, not sure how I want finish the rear of the frame to have a nice finished look. The tail light is not staying in that location, it will be moved once I figure out how I want to cut the frame. I think I may do a bent hoop. opinions are appreciated.

I just bought a KZ400 a little while back and it didn't come with any fuel lines and I'm having a tough time trying to figure out what size I need. Do you know what size they are? Thanks

Its just standard 1/4" fuel line. Should be able to get at most auto parts store. I got mine from Dime City, they have a load if colors as well as clear.

I like where you're going with the bike- it's really nice to see a classy cafe racer that still has it's side
covers, and at least one of the fenders!  ;D Looks really nice.
My '75 KZ400 has been sitting in the garage for a while, a purchase of days gone by that I did some work
to and moved on to my other projects. Seeing yours kinda lights a fire under my ass to do more. I LOVE
the seat, and I mean really LOVE it. I think it would look cool with a frame hoop that kicks up to match the
lines of the seat. Then maybe just keep an inner fender to keep road crud out. Thats just what I see. Nice job
so far!

Thanks! It really means a lot to hear some positive remarks about her. I dont seem to have too much intrest around here due to the fact its not as wild as some of the builds on here. I really want to keep it simple and clean. Im working on the upswept frame hoop to follow the seat. I think that will finish it off nice. Im running into issues with the brake light, cant get it to work like it should. >:( I spent some time to get her running good now that I have her running good I can work on everything else.

Bike looks great mudchicken, keeping it simple and clean for sure, I love the seat too.  I love the looks of the '76 even more than my '79.  The paint still looks fantastic, I'd say polish up those engine covers a bit and she'd be looking just how I want her (I also agree a frame hoop would be a nice addition).  Keep up the good work.

I'm guessing you already have seen these.... Here are a few pics of what I was talking about. I just smoothed out the welds with a flap disc. Sorry I didn't have any real good pics of the hoop after it was painted, but you get the idea.
