ready for some fiberglass.

I'm using polyester so i had to wrap the thing in aluminum foil.

Drying.

Next up will be finishing the seat, then taking the engine apart for paint. The engine runs like a charm so i don't have to do anything else.

Rearsets are hopefully on it's way.

Still haven't decided on a color theme.. i Think maybe Vespa green (i love that color. i thinks its 668) and black.

anyone got a great place for buying controls and lighting?
I really want an integrated rear light into the seat.

updates will come shortly.

Thanks Cafe redneck.. I was actually looking for a 550 but the prices here are sick.
But i don't regret it, it's a hell of a funk bike to ride. :)

Since it's so cold here in Norway and I'm doing this stuff in the shed outside the damn polyester takes ages to dry up. Just went out and put a fan on it.

in the meantime i wrapped the exhaust :

Now it's movie time. Captain America just came out :):)

I'm going to my old boss today to look for some rearsets from a gsxr, and hopefully some clip-on's.
and i just started thinking that this is a two stroke :D I need an oil tank. i just might hool this up i fiberglass too :)
Anyone know what kinda stuff i'm supposed to use inside to seal it??

Seat almost ready, I've cut it to the shape i want out of the fiberglass mold and looks good, needs a few layers of filler before paint though... :-X

Thank you MBB 8)

Will take another picture with the tank tomorrow.
Close to midnight.. gotta go hit the pillow ???

thx :)

I havn't been able to do anymore work these last day's, and i'm playing a gig tonight and won't be back until late saturday, so i think sunday is a good garage day :):)

anywho i have just ordered rearsets, and they where cheap too... 80 bucks inc. shipping to norway.
I like.

so in a three weeks time i got my selfe a set of pegs. :)

have a great weekend dudes.

The seat is looking good and i like the frame loop you added....looks much cleaner than stock. You should use Caswell's Tank sealer for your oil tank. I used it on my Suzuki T500 oil tank that is integrated into my figerglass seat. It is supposed to be the best sealer available at this point.

Thanks all :)

I have now started working the engine for paint.. and guess what??? the two last bolt won't budge. Murphy's law i guess.

herre's the trouble.

It really bugs me when things are phillips head, that are supposed to be really tight. A bolt would be way better in that spot.

Problem fixed!
I ran he engine components in the parts cleaner, but not good enough.
i'm putting the engine halfes back together and glassblasting it before paint.
Cylinders, carb's and oil pump will be blasted as well. 8)

engine got glass blasted today, pic will come tomorrow after a heck of a cleaning job :)

Some pics after blasting and started painting of engine.

Did you test the bottom end for leaks before you stripped it? I hate to put a motor together and then discover a crank seal leaks.

Teazer: I got a bag full of brand new seals :) I would never bother to put it back together with old seals.
Does anyone do that? ???

Justinonghorn: thx :) Hopefully the image in my mind will come alive ;D
