I used to be really big into turbo eclipses. Mine was fwd and I could never get traction, so I decided to make it rwd. I turned the motor 90 degrees and mated a chevy transmission with a ford 9" rear end. Full roll cage with linked rear. Then I decided I wanted to run a ls1. All this was going on while I was in school, so I decide to finish it when I got out and started making more money. We all know how that goes and there it sits. It is a sad reminder everytime I go to the shop. Kinda lost interest but I hope to do something with it in the future.

Sounds familiar. Were you on dsmtuners.com? I also had a few DSM's. Last one was a 2Ga TSi AWD 5spd w/2Gb Eclipse Front Conversion, bolt ons, blah blah

Yeah I used to lurk around there. I was never really an active member. Dsms are amazing cars with tons of potiental if you can keep them running!  I reverted back to the dark side awhile back when I bought an si.

The whole thing is a great idea...and looking bad ass.  are you planning on losing the funky plastic scooping thing on the front of the motor.  Them bikes always look like theyre ready to plow the field with that thing.  just me

I have not decide what to do about the belly pan yet. I don't really like the lines of the bike when I take it off, but I agree something will have to be done with it. I might make a smaller sleeker looking one kinda like the Reposal bike I've seen on this site.
