brakes being work on.. the new reservoir looks really good.
looks like the motor is having issue putting back together. still have to work on one of the transmission gear before it's all back together and into the frame! :(
Wish it could be done within the next few days, so I can start riding again!! sigh!!

That is a very cool master cylinder reservoir.  Looks like a piston.  Is it original?

I wish it's original, found it on ebay, bought 2 of them. I've try to go back and find more for back up. can't find it anywhere now :(

You've been through your ebay purchase history archive?  If you do find it post the link as I'd be keen for a look at one too.

actually I purchase from a seller, and not the original builder. I wish I know more about it, so I could have some more history on this bike. But that's so cool that you remember it! I wonder if there's a thread about it on XS11? and yes, the old rear fender is all made out of fiber glass. Hopefully the new seat and rear fender will fit perfect, or I have to go with the old one for a while before it's completely done.

Nice to see some aesthetics going into this build! Before was functional, but kinda homely. I did some digging at XS11, and found some threads about the bike and its evolution. Interesting stuff, anyway.

OH WOW!! I feel like just went thru the whole birth history of Madmax!! ha ha.. Thank you for finding that for me, it help me a lot to understand the bike even more.
I better check the weight capability on the Hypermotard shocks. Just realized he was using the old R1 shocks.
Now I understand why another member previously mention that I bought the bike from XSCHOP! ha haa.. I thought he meant the bike is a chop up bike!! LOL.  :o
I guess there are a few out there with the chain drive setup, but I hope I'll be the only one with the Single swing arm set up.  ;D

ps XSCHOP was right about how well it handle, the only thing sucks, the bike is still heavy and the stop power are not as quick as some of the lighter bike. ..

The ol' 11 is a pretty heavy bike, and its mostly in the engine! I have always thought your bike in particular was a pretty fascinating build, though! I like that your work is a little cleaner than teh builders was, though. He had a great eye, but tended to not really see beyond performance and flat black.

yea I pick up another motor from the junkyard to look for gears, and it's a heavy sucker! at the shop, they keep telling me to put a Hayabusa motor in it ha haa.. yea I really appreciate his eye and the build on the bike, but he's a bit old school. I just seem it the bike more of stream line and can still retain the classic look to it and still perform as well. now I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with the rear seat? I've got someone building it for me, but he's taking forever like always and not sure if I can wait?? I might call up this guy in Cali to see if they can build one? and I will mock up the looks of it.
